Any Body Can Dance Review

Personally, we at Friday Brands would like to allot 5 stars to Remo D’souza for making Any Body Can Dance. The choreographer turned director does full justice to this dance themed 3D movie despite the film have all the cliché plots and subplots. This is India’s first 3D Dance film and it fulfills its promise of Any Body Can Dance.

The film boasts an extremely talented bunch of youngsters as dancers with India’s answer to Michael Jackson, our very own Prabhu Deva leading the pack as their dance teacher. The movie or the sheer dance makes you want to groove to its beats. Even those with two left feet will feel the music run through their veins.

Prabhu Deva does emote in parts but it’s basically his dance prowess that sets the stage on fire. Pity, he gets to shake his legs in just one outing. The new bunch of talented actors like Salman, Punit, Lauren and Dharmesh are all about showing off their unique style of dancing with acting thrown in for good measures. Kay Kay Menon sleep walks through this film playing the arrogant baddie and owner of a dance academy.

To cut a long story short, the film is all about underdogs from the chawls making it big on a dancing reality show. Go watch it for the high quality of Indian dance with 3D put in for good measures. The film may not match up to its Hollywood counterparts but Remo D’souza surely has given the audience a decent dance film to watch.
