From the advent of the Indian film industry, film makers have been taking inspirations from books to make their films – from mythological books to classics from revered writers, these written works has been the source of many a movie scripts and television series.

And then came the norm of making remakes and getting inspired by other movies including classics and films from other countries. But few film makers like Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Ronnie Screwvala continued to take risk by adapting modern day storybooks into films.

But one man is taking this norm one step ahead. Unconventional film maker Anurag Kashyap will make a film based on a Blog. The rights to the story tentatively titled Hisar Mein Hakakar based on a series of blogs written by ex journo Gaurav Solanki has been brought by Anurag’s production house and it will be turned into a film. The film will be jointly produced by Vikramaditya Motwane of Udaan and Lootera fame.

This will be one interesting development for other filmmakers who will now scramble in the blog world to scavenge for interesting written material . And for the multitude of bloggers out there, this will be one huge growth opportunity as a blogger/writer.
