Yesterday, in a star studded ceremony, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar launched her music label LM Music amidst much fanfare.
Noted music maestro Pandit Jasraj, Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Sri Devi, Boney Kapoor, Madhur Bhandarkar, Alka Yagnik and Nita Ambani were some of the dignitaries who graced the occasion.
Speaking on the launch, Amitabh Bachchan was his usual humble self as he said, “I am too small in front of all the dignitaries present here…. best wishes to L M Music and I wish the company also becomes a precious stone like Lata.”
For Nita Ambani, the event has been a landmark. She added, “Lata Mangeshkar is a living legend. She has enthralled millions of hearts all over the world with her music.”
LM Music will release albums of not just Lata herself but also of other singers like Asha Bhosle, Shankar Mahadevan, Meena Khadilkar and new upcoming talents that Lataji herself has handpicked. The label will focus on non-film music and give a chance to singers from reality shows to further their careers.
